I have undergone specialized training in perinatal mental health and am certified through Postpartum Support International (PSI), the leading organization dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of individuals during pregnancy, postpartum, and throughout the parenting journey. This certification reflects my commitment to providing evidence-based, compassionate care for those navigating the complex emotions that can accompany fertility struggles, pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, and life as a parent.
Through PSI’s Perinatal Mental Health Certification, I’ve gained in-depth knowledge on a wide range of topics, including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), birth trauma, pregnancy and infant loss, infertility, and the unique mental health challenges faced by parents of all backgrounds and family structures. This rigorous training ensures that I am equipped with the tools and strategies needed to support you through life’s most vulnerable moments. You can learn more about PSI’s Perinatal Mental Health Certification here.
In addition to my PSI certification, I have specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a highly effective therapy for processing trauma. This approach is particularly helpful for those coping with birth trauma, past pregnancy loss, or unresolved trauma that resurfaces during the perinatal period. I also participate in ongoing consultation with experienced EMDR providers to ensure the highest level of care.
Throughout my career, I have remained committed to ongoing professional development, continually expanding my expertise in perinatal mental health. I have completed numerous continuing education courses focused on the emotional and psychological needs of parents, including supporting non-traditional families, LGBTQIA+ parents, and those managing complex fertility journeys. In addition to my clinical work, I develop trainings for other mental health providers to increase awareness and improve care for perinatal mental health concerns.
My mission is to ensure you receive the highest quality of care, grounded in the latest research and delivered with genuine compassion and understanding. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone—support is here when you’re ready.
