Who We See & Why

We work with adults who are trying to conceive, pregnant, postpartum, grieving a loss, adjusting to life with a baby, or navigating the many emotional changes that can come with parenthood and caregiving. This chapter of life can be beautiful, but it can also be exhausting, isolating, scary, and far more complicated than many people expect.

Our practice is built around the belief that you deserve a space where you can be honest about what this experience is really like. Whether you are dealing with intrusive thoughts, sadness, anxiety, anger, numbness, identity changes, relationship strain, or simply feeling unlike yourself, we are here to support you with compassion and without judgment.

We specialize in helping clients work through concerns related to fertility challenges, pregnancy after loss, birth trauma, postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, and the ongoing emotional adjustment of becoming or being a parent. We also understand that people often cope with overwhelm in ways that make sense in the moment but do not always help in the long run. Therapy can help you make sense of those patterns and find new ways forward that feel more supportive and sustainable.

Our practice primarily serves individual adults. Some providers may also offer couples counseling focused on perinatal and parenting-related transitions. At this time, we do not offer therapy for children or full family therapy.

Above all, we want you to know that you do not have to carry this alone. We are here to offer support, skill, and a place to land during one of life’s most vulnerable seasons.

Areas of Focus

Our practice supports adults navigating a wide range of emotional challenges that can arise before, during, and after pregnancy, as well as throughout the parenting journey. Areas we commonly help with include, but are not limited to:

  • Fertility struggles and family planning decisions

  • Pregnancy after loss or high-risk pregnancies

  • Birth trauma and recovery

  • Postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs)

  • Identity shifts and role changes in parenthood

  • Grief and loss, including pregnancy and infant loss

  • Relationship and communication challenges

  • Adjustment to life with a new child

  • Intrusive thoughts and chronic feelings of sadness, anxiety, or overwhelm

  • Coping patterns that no longer feel helpful, such as emotional eating, alcohol use, overworking, withdrawal, or avoidance

  • Stress management and burnout prevention

Whether you are preparing to grow your family, adjusting to life after birth, or moving through the many emotional layers of parenting and caregiving, our practice is here to support you with compassion, skill, and understanding.
