Meet the Monarch Counseling Team
A practice built by specialists, for the most important season of your life.
Every provider on our team works exclusively in perinatal mental health. This is not a general therapy practice with a postpartum specialty tucked into a long list of services. It is the only thing we do.
Women come to Monarch Counseling having felt dismissed, misunderstood, or stuck with providers who were not trained for what they were going through. They find a team that already knows what this season feels like, asks the right questions from the start, and gets to the work that actually makes a difference.

Ashlyn founded Monarch Counseling because she saw firsthand what happens when women in the perinatal period receive care from providers who are not specifically trained for it. Symptoms get missed. Women get dismissed. The real work gets delayed. She built this practice to close that gap.
What sets Ashlyn apart is not just her depth of training, though that is extensive. It is the way she sees what others miss. She recognizes postpartum rage for what it is. She understands that intrusive thoughts are not a sign of danger. She knows that feeling completely unlike yourself after birth is not something to push through, and she knows how to help you find your way back.
Her approach is direct, honest, and completely judgment free. You do not have to filter yourself or pretend to be okay. You just have to show up.

As a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern and maternal mental health advocate, I specialize in supporting individuals navigating pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, and the emotional and identity shifts that can come with this stage of life. These experiences can feel both meaningful and overwhelming, and I aim to offer a space where you don’t have to carry everything on your own.
I have specialized training through Postpartum Support International and am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I provide individualized care, recognizing that each person’s journey is unique. I believe clients should feel empowered to take an active role in their healing process, and I prioritize building a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship rooted in safety and openness.
As a mother of two, I bring both clinical training and lived experience to my work, including my own experiences with birth trauma, pregnancy loss, and postpartum depression. I understand firsthand how overwhelming and isolating motherhood can feel, and those experiences have deepened my compassion and strengthened my commitment to supporting women through their own journeys. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, more connected to yourself, and more supported as you move through this season of life.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 11 years of experience, I work with teens, adults, couples, and neurodivergent individuals navigating life's challenges and transitions. As a father myself, I have a special interest in supporting couples as they navigate the transition to parenthood and the many adjustments that can come with growing a family. I enjoy helping parents strengthen their relationships, improve communication, and work through the stress, identity shifts, and changing dynamics that often accompany pregnancy, postpartum life, and raising children. I also work with fathers who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, overwhelm, or the challenges of balancing work, family, and personal wellbeing.
My clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism spectrum concerns, chronic illness and pain, perinatal mental health, relationship difficulties, family-of-origin wounds, school and workplace stress, and recovery from harmful religious experiences.
I provide a warm, patient, and trauma-informed space where clients can explore their experiences with curiosity and compassion. I believe that mental health struggles are deeply connected to neurobiology, relationships, life experiences, and environment, and not simply something that exists in isolation. My approach is collaborative, affirming, and tailored to each client's unique needs and strengths.
As an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, I strive to create an environment where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered. As both a therapist and an artist, I value authenticity, insight, and healing through connection. My own experiences with chronic illness, fatherhood, and personal growth have deepened my appreciation for the complexity of the healing journey and the resilience people bring to it.
