You Don't Have to Carry Everything on Your Own
As a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern and maternal mental health advocate, Melanie specializes in supporting individuals navigating pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, and the emotional and identity shifts that can come with this stage of life.
These experiences can feel both meaningful and overwhelming at the same time. You can love your baby deeply and still grieve the life you had before. You can be grateful and exhausted, joyful and anxious, all in the same afternoon. Melanie offers a space where every part of that experience is welcome, and where you don't have to carry everything on your own.
As a mother of two, Melanie brings both clinical training and lived experience to her work, including her own experiences with birth trauma, pregnancy loss, and postpartum depression. She understands firsthand how overwhelming and isolating motherhood can feel. Those experiences have deepened her compassion and strengthened her commitment to supporting women through their own journeys.

Her Approach
Individualized, Empowering, and Rooted in Safety
Melanie provides individualized care, recognizing that each person's journey is unique. There is no single right way to experience pregnancy or motherhood, and no one-size-fits-all path to feeling better. She tailors her work to your history, your needs, and your goals.
She believes clients should feel empowered to take an active role in their healing process. Therapy with Melanie is collaborative: you help set the direction, and she brings the clinical knowledge and tools to support you along the way.
Above all, Melanie prioritizes building a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship rooted in safety and openness. Feeling safe with your therapist is what makes it possible to talk about the hardest parts of your experience, and to start healing from them.
For clients working through birth trauma or other painful experiences, Melanie draws on her training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach that helps the brain process distressing memories so they feel less overwhelming.
