Understanding the Patterns You Carry
Mandy works with women who are navigating grief, trauma, and life transitions. She understands that so much of what we experience within our family system, especially when we are young, can shape the way we see ourselves, connect with others, and move through intimate relationships as adults.
Sometimes we find ourselves repeating patterns we don't fully understand, reacting in ways we wish we could change, or feeling disconnected from the person we want to be. Mandy helps women slow down and look at those patterns with curiosity instead of shame, so they can begin to understand where they come from and how to move beyond them.
You can have a lot of insight into yourself and still feel stuck in the same patterns.
Mandy also supports women moving through the grief that can come with fertility challenges and pregnancy loss. These experiences can hold so much more than the loss itself. They can bring up old wounds, fear, anger, sadness, uncertainty, and a sense of losing control over something you deeply wanted.
It can be difficult to put all of that into words, especially when you're also trying to navigate what comes next and the family or life you hoped to create. Mandy offers a space where you don't have to have the words right away, and where every part of your grief is allowed.
How Mandy Can Help
Areas of Focus
Here are some of the experiences Mandy helps women work through.
Pregnancy Loss
Miscarriage and other pregnancy losses can bring grief that's hard to name and harder to share. Mandy helps women process the loss itself and everything it brings up. Learn about pregnancy loss therapy.
Fertility Challenges
The fear, anger, and uncertainty of fertility struggles, and the sense of losing control over something you deeply want. Mandy supports women through this grief and what comes next. Learn about fertility counseling.
Grief & Loss
Grief doesn't follow a straight line. Mandy helps women move through loss in their own way, without pressure to be "over it" on anyone else's timeline.
Trauma
Using somatic approaches, Mandy helps women work with trauma held in the body and nervous system, beyond what talking alone can reach.
Family-of-Origin Patterns
Early family experiences can shape how we see ourselves and connect in intimate relationships. Mandy helps women understand these patterns and create new ways of relating.
Life Transitions
Big changes, whether chosen or not, can leave you feeling unsteady and unsure of who you are. Mandy helps women find their footing and reconnect with themselves.
Her Approach
Somatic, Emotion-Focused, and Mindful
Mandy's work utilizes somatic, emotion-focused, ACT, and mindfulness-based therapy. She believes that understanding why you feel the way you feel is important, but sometimes knowing isn't enough to create change. You can have a lot of insight into yourself and still feel stuck in the same patterns.
Somatic therapy gives you another way to work with what you're carrying by paying attention to what is happening in your body, emotions, and nervous system. It can help you begin to release some of what talk alone can't, especially when you've been carrying deep-rooted emotions or ways of being that you've wanted to change for a long time.
Emotion-focused therapy helps you understand, experience, and make sense of your emotions rather than pushing them away. ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) helps you make room for difficult thoughts and feelings while moving toward what matters most to you.
Mindfulness-based therapy builds your ability to notice what you're experiencing in the present moment with gentleness rather than judgment. Together, these approaches help women not just understand their patterns but actually feel different in their bodies and their lives.
