About Dr. Lorenzo

Two Decades of Supporting Mothers and Families

As a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern at Monarch Counseling, Dr. Limary Lorenzo has over 20 years of experience working with families and mothers. She holds advanced training in perinatal and postpartum mental health through Postpartum Support International, and she supports clients navigating grief, fertility, and reproductive journeys.

Originally from Puerto Rico, Dr. Lorenzo offers bilingual services in English and Spanish as a native Spanish speaker. For many Spanish-speaking families, being able to talk about something as personal as pregnancy, loss, or the pressures of motherhood in their first language makes a real difference. Emotions often live in the language we grew up with, and therapy can feel more natural, and more healing, when you don't have to translate yourself.

Dr. Lorenzo provides culturally sensitive, ethical care, with particular understanding for immigrants and high-achieving professionals. She recognizes the unique pressures these clients often carry: building a life in a new country, balancing demanding careers with family, and holding high expectations of themselves during seasons when they need more support than ever.

I am very happy and eager to serve the community of mothers and professionals in Orlando and throughout Florida.

She is trained in trauma and somatic techniques, including Brainspotting, Flash Therapy, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, giving her a range of tools to help clients process difficult experiences and feel more grounded in their bodies and their lives.

Her Approach

Culturally Sensitive, Trauma-Informed, and Somatic

Dr. Lorenzo combines decades of experience with mothers and families with training in trauma and somatic techniques. She tailors each client's care to their needs, culture, and goals.

Brainspotting is a brain-body therapy that uses where a person looks to help access and process difficult emotions and experiences that can be hard to reach through talking alone. Flash Therapy is a gentle technique designed to reduce the intensity of painful memories, often without the client needing to describe them in detail.

Mindfulness helps clients slow down, notice what they're feeling, and respond with more calm and self-compassion. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns and build more balanced ways of thinking.

Underneath every technique is a commitment to ethical, culturally sensitive care. Dr. Lorenzo understands that culture, family, and language shape how we experience motherhood, grief, and stress, and she meets each client with respect for their story.
